OCTOBER, 2007

LEARNING BY DEGREES

October is here!!! What a great time of year.

We are working on the Lodge and in the Lodge. We will have a Master Mason Degree on October 29th. The fifth Monday - try to be there.

We are painting the interior of the building and thanks to the generosity of our members we are purchasing new tables for our dining room. Thanks, Thanks, Thanks, for your participation and help. What a great lodge we have!

Christmas in October will be held on October 20th at the Masonic Home in St. Petersburg. Gifts for all the residnets and fun for everyone.

We are sending out dues notices for 2008 on the 20th of October. Check your card. If it says 2006, you owe for two years.

We are still not receiving address changes from our members when they move. This is an extra cost tot he lodge and you might not receive our mail if we do not have your new address.

The Grand Master will visit Dade Countyr on October 13th. we will have our meeting at Mahi Shrine. This could be our last meeting there as they have the property  up for sale.

Pray for all of our sick and infirmed members and their families.

Have a great Halloween.

Autumn

The air resounds with voices

Piercing Autumn's still

from the meadows crickets call

Relentlessly and shrill

Aspen leaves are quaking

IN the gentle breeze

Blackbirds flock to empty fields

And squabble in the trees

All around the eye detects

Autumn's busy hand

Painting vales and hillsides

So vibrant and so grand

Shades of crimson and of gold

Blaze mingled in the green

The woodlands stand aglow again

In colors rarely seen

Autumn's tranquil Piture

is framed by heaven's blue

October days so beautiful

So fleeting and so few.
